REPORTS TO: Director of Activities and Building Principal
REQUIRED PERFORMANCE AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 Assist with recruiting and training students for robotics competitions.
- Monitoring and assisting students with the design and building of a robot to compete at the local, regional and state events.
- Attend and supervise students during competitions.
- Act as project coordinator for the build/competition season.
- Communicate with students/families about all team activities.
- Keep student well-being front and center.
- Expose students to new technologies, skills, and knowledge to increase their interest in science, technology, engineering, and math.
- Create opportunities for students to take on leadership roles on the team.
- Help students improve their problem-solving skills.
- Assist with the administration of the team (register for events, etc.).
- Assist with budget and submitting of expenses.
SALARY: 3.0% of base teacher salary schedule to be established by the Board of Education.
